Head Coach Don Rice
Coach Rice has been with JF Football as head coach since 2004. He graduated from Northside High School and Radford University (he is also an ex-marine). He has coached at Waynesboro, Rustburg, Radford High School and North Penn in Pennsylvania. He and wife Leanne (who has been the PE teacher at New London Academy since 2004) have three children, Trey, Hunter and Emma.
He was named “Seminole District Coach of the Year” in 2006.

| Coach Doug Brown – Varsity Defensive Backs and Wide Receivers Coach Brown has been coaching at JF since 2006 and has coached our varsity defensive backs, varsity linebackers and was JV Defensive Coordinator in 2007. He graduated from Napoleon High School in Ohio and the University of Cincinnati. He and his wife Krista welcomed their son, Drew in 2008 and their second son Carter in May.

| Coach David Carter – Varsity Wide Receivers Welcome Back Coach Carter!! Coach Carter Coached our current seniors when they started on B Team in 2007, coached them as JV Players in 2008, moved to Varsity in 2009 and is now back to coach them during their Senior season!!! Coach Carter played football at Garden High School and Emory & Henry College. He has been a financial planner for 30 years. He and his wife, Teresa, have a daughter Allison and son Mark who played football at JF and graduated in 2009 and is currently attending Virginia Tech. |

| Coach Martin Cox – Varsity Running Backs & Defensive Linebackers Coach Cox came to JF Football in 2010 as an assistant JV Coach and played wide receiver in high school and tailback at West Virginia University from 1988-1990. His wife Amy and children Alexa and Trey enjoy his hobby of cooking. He is employed with the City of Lynchburg as a Juvenile Services Administrator. |

| Coach Jim Higley – Varsity Tight Ends/Defensive Ends Coach Higley has coached on Varsity since 2004 and JV for two years. He graduated from Annandale High School in 1975, played high school football from 1973 to 1975, graduated from Lynchburg College in 1980. He is currently Vice President of Harris Trucking and has three children – Austin, Knox and Dylon. His son Dylon is a JF Football alumni, 2008 JF graduate and is attending Old Dominion University. |

| Coach Weston Katze – Varsity Defensive Backs and Wide Receivers Welcome to Coach Katze to JF Football and to JF High School as the new Technology Education Teacher!!! Coach Katze was a Defensive Back at University of Wisconsin/Platteville where he graduated in 2006 and went to Cambria Fridgland High School in Wisconsin. He has also coached high school boys basketball at Darlington High School in Wisconsin. His wife, Charity, is attending Liberty University Law School |

| Coach Mike Watts – Varsity Defensive Line/ Defensive Coordinator Coach Watts joined our JF coaching staff in 2005 as B Team Coach and was JF JV Head Coach in 2006 & 2007 before serving as our Varsity Offensive Line Coach in 2008. He graduated from Rustburg High School in 1999 where he played football from 1995 to 1999 under our Coach Rice. He is currently attending college while devoting an enormous amount of time to our weightlifting, off season and pre-season conditioning. | Coach Kenneth Herndon – JV Head Coach Coach Herndon came back with our JF Coaching staff in 2010 after a brief visit coaching JV Football at EC Glass High School. He has also coached our JF B Team Football for three years, played baseball and was a member of our JF Football two time state champs in 1992 and 1995. He is a graduate from Saint Paul’s College and is currently a counselor at Rivermont School in Lynchburg. His son Devon is playing football on our JF B Team. |

| Coach Dwayne L. Brown – JV Assistant Coach Coach Brown new to JF Football in 2010, played football at EC Glass for four years as a linebacker and won a state championship in 1988. He coached linebackers and special teams for eight years at EC Glass and a year at Altavista. He is married to Diana Brown and his children are Kaylan, Ashleigh and Colston and is employed at Laurel School |

| Coach Steve Johnson – JV Assistant Coach Coach Johnson joined our JF staff in 2009 as a B Team Coach but has been involved with JF Football for years by taking Varsity stats on Friday nights and has coached football at our FYAA level for 8 years. He also played football at Altavista High School where he graduated in 1977. He is employed and Arcet and he lives with his wife, Barbara and two sons Eric who plays on our JF JV Football Team and Cory who graduated in 2010 from JF and currently videos our Varsity football games. |

| Coach Michael Jackson – Head B Team Coach Coach Jackson joins our JF Football Coaching Staff this year after spending last winter coaching FMS B Team Basketball, coached Appomattox Youth Sports from 2007 – 2009 and has umpired baseball. He is a 2006 graduate of Appomattox County High School and played for the Appomattox Raiders for four years. He is currently a Senior at Liberty University |

Coach Kraemer Graduated from Wachusett Regional High School (Massachusetts) in 2004 where he played a nose guard for four years and then coached freshmen football for two years. He is currently attending Liberty University, works at Krogers and is engaged to Brittany Battle. |

Stephen MacCord – JF Athletic Trainer Athletic Trainer MacCord has been the athletic trainer at Jefferson Forest High School since 2004. He graduated from Fellowship Christian Academy in Massachusetts; Pensacola Christian College in 2000; and has a Masters Degree from United States Sport Academy in 2001. Steve is married to Sharidy. Most memorable moment for our players this year: As a reward to our players during practice "Coach Rice” decided to go slip and slide into a mud puddle, then proceeded to give Coach Rocco a bear hug.

He is currently in his third year as the Construction, Manufacturing, and Technical Drawing Instructor at JF. He is a graduate of Starmount High School, Appalachian State University, and Sweet Briar College with a M.Ed. in 2005. He has coached football, wrestling, soccer, golf and girls basketball and was coaching at Heritage High School when they won the 2002 Football State Championship!!

| Coach Ryan Gilleland – Varsity Running Backs Also known as “Coach G”, Coach Gilleland graduated from JF in 1994, UVA in 1998 with a BBA in Psychology and ODU in 2000 with a Masters in Sports Management. He played JF Football when they won state in 1992 and played baseball at UVA from 1995 to 1998. He has been coaching JF Football since 2003 and JF Baseball since 2001. His wife Kylie is a testing coordinator at JF and son Beckett was born in 2008 and son Merrick in July 2010.

He played football at Bloomsburgh and Penn State as a tight end and linebacker. He teaches Physiology and Sociology. His wife Lori teaches AP Us History at JF and they have three daughters Natalie, Arriana., and Ciciley born in April 2010. |

| Stevie Ray Lloyd – B Team Assistant Coach Coach Lloyd graduated from JF in 2003 where he played linebacker and fullback where he was named all area, district, region and state – Named “Defensive Player of the Year” and set JF’s record in with 477 career tackles. Was also named MVP in Virginia All Star Game. Coach Lloyd was redshirted in 2003 but played for Virginia Tech from 2004 to 2005 and led the team in tackles on special teams and from linebacker position was named a “Superior Hokie” in 2004 & 2005 and was part of the 2004 ACC Championship Team. At Liberty University in 2006 & 2007 he was named to the “All Big South Team”, was a team captain and led the team in tackles. He also set a hang clean record for linebackers at 403 and was a part of the Big South Championship Team in 2007. He is currently working with his family owned business – Lloyd Concrete Services and married his wife Jessica in 2009. |

Coach Carter has been with our JF family for years serving JF Athletic Boosters and maintaining our football and softball fields. He joined our coaching staff officially in 2007 when he agreed to assist coaching our swelling B Team. He coached our JV team in 2008. He has been instrumental in the development of our current weight lifting program. His family includes his wife, Teresa; daughter Allison who graduated from JF; and his son, Mark, is a JF Football alumni who graduated in 2008 and is attending Virginia Tech. Coach Carter is a graduate of Emory & Henry College.

Coach Jeremy Hardison – Varsity Receivers and Strength Coach
Coach Hardison joined our JF Coaching Staff in 2007 as a B Team Coach and coached our JV Team in 2008. He has been a vital part of our conditioning and weightlifting program. He graduated from William Campbell High School in 1993 where he played football and then coached running backs, linebackers and was a strength coach from 2003 to 2005. He graduated from Virginia Tech in 2001 and currently is a PTA with Rehab and Associates.

Coach Higley has coached on Varsity since 2004 and JV for two years. Coach Dave Rocco – Varsity Defense Coordinator/Linebackers
Coach Rocco joined our JF Football staff in 2008 after serving as Staunton River’s head coach for six years!! He also coached at Penn State (Georgia), Milton Hershey in Pennsylvania, Pine Crest in Florida. He is a graduate of State College High School (Pa) and Penn State with a Counseling Degree. He played football at Bloomsburgh and Penn State as a tight end and linebacker. He teaches Physiology, Sociology, and 9th grade PE. His wife Lori teaches AP Us History at JF and they have two daughters Natalie and Arriana.

Coach Matt DeLoach – JV Assistant Coach – Quarterbacks, Off Line, Def Backs
Coach DeLoach played football for JF from 2003-2004 and Heritage High School 2001-2002. He was our B-Team Coach in 2005, 2006 & 2008 and graduated from JF in 2005. Coach DeLoach is currently attending college and is engaged to be married to Katherine Fath in November 2010 (best wishes Coach DeLoach and Katherine).
Coach Brandon Klacynski – JV Assistant Coach
Coach Klacynski joined our JF Football staff in 2008 when he coached B Team Special Teams. He is a 2008 JF Graduate and is attending college. He was a fullback and on the defensive line while playing at JF as well as an outstanding team leader and team co-captain in 2008.

Coach Garbee graduated from JF in 2003 and played defensive back. He is also a graduate from Radford and coached at Radford High School. He joined our JF Coaching Staff in 2008 as JV Coach. Coach Garbee also works at Dick’s Sporting Goods.

Coach Hardison joined our JF Coaching staff in 2007 as B Team Coach and will be coaching our JV Team in 2008. He graduated from William Campbell High School in 1993 where he played football. He graduated from Virgina Tech in 2001. He coached running backs, linebackers and was a strength coach at William Campbell from 2003 to 2005. He has also been a vital part of our JF Football Teams conditioning.

Coach Matt DeLoach - B Team Head Coach
Coach DeLoach played football at JF from 2003-2004 and was our B Team Coach in 2005 & 2006. He graduated from JF in 2005 and is currently attending college. Welcome Back Coach DeLoach!!!

Coach Eddie Burnette - Varsity Wide Receivers - **25th Year**
Coach Burnette graduated from Liberty High School and Longwood College where he played baseball. He was a member of the Liberty High School 1977 State Baseball Team and on JF Staff for the 1988 State Baseball Team. He was a JF Football Coach during 1992 and 1993 when JF Football won state!! Coach Burnette is starting his 25th year as a teacher at JF.
Coach Ryan Gilleland - Varisty Running Backs
Also known as "Coach G" Coach Gilliland graduated from JF in 1994, UVA in 1998 with a BA in Psycology and ODU in 200 with a Masters in Sports Management. He played JF Football when they won state in 1992 and played baseball at UVA from 1995 to 1998. He has been coaching JF Football since 2003 and JF Baseball since 2001. He has taught for eight years at JF and will be teaching Government in 2008. His wife Kylie is a past counselor at Forest Middle School and will be teaching at JF in 2008 - they also welcomed a son, Beckett, to their family in 2008.

Coach Rocco - Varsity Defense Coordinator - Linebackers
We are pleased to announce that Coach Rocco has joined our JF Football Coaching Staff in 2008. He will be working with the Varsity defense and comes to us from Staunton River where he was Head Coach for six years!! He also coached at Penn State (Georgia), Milton Hershey in Pennsylvannia, Pine Crest in Florida. He is a graduate from State College High School (Pa) and Penn State wtih a Counseling Degree. He played football at Bloomsburgh and Penn State as a Tight End and Linebacker. He will be teaching Physiology, Socialogy and 9th Grade PE. His wife Lori teaches AP US History at JF and they have two daughters Natalie and Arianna. Welcome, Welcome, Welcome!
Coach Mike Watts - Varsity Offensive Line
Coach Watts joined our JF Coaching staff in 2005 as JF B Team Coach and was JF JV Football Head Coach in 2006 & 2007. He graduated from Rustburg High School in 1999 where he played football from 1995 - 1999.
His younger brother Briston Watts is currently a JF JV Football Player (#86)
Charles Santore - Varsity
Charles Santore taught at JF and kept us supplied with storage sheds for our equipment and hauls our JF Football Trailer to Varsity away games!! He now works for English Construction.

Athletic Trainer MacCord has been with Jefferson Forest High School since 2004. He graduated from Fellowship Christian Academy in Massachusetts; Pensacola Christian College in 2000; and has a Masters Degree from United States Sport Academy in 2001. Nancy Claudio - JF Athletic Director
We are so fortunate to have Nancy Claudio as our Athletic Director who was the first female athletic director in the Seminole District when she came to us in 2006. Her dedication, fairness and fund raising for all our JF sports is unmeasurable and we especially appreciate all the hours that she gives to our football programs including when we lose our score board connection five minutes before a game!!

Larry Lineberry - Touchdown Cannon
Thanks to Larry for shooting off the cannon at our JF Football Home Games after our JF Football Touchdowns. We hope to keep him busy during our 2008 season!!! His son Erik who is a Senior is #64 on our Varsity team!
